Making a Mystery with Carol Goodman Kaufman In-Person

Have you ever wondered how a mystery novel is written? Join us for a one-hour fun and interactive improv game during which the audience "writes" a mystery story. The program will include some discussion of the various conventions of the genre. Our presenter, Carol Goodman Kaufman, is a former psychologist and criminologist and now writes full-time.

This free event is funded by the Friends of the Hamden Library. Registration is recommended. Seating is limited.

This program is offered in connection with the performance of the play Clue: On Stage by the Hamden High Mainstage Ensemble in the Hamden High School Auditorium Friday, Nov. 7 through Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7 pm, and on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 pm. Carol Goodman Kaufman - Writer - Self-employed | LinkedInCarol Goodman Kaufman worked as a psychologist and criminologist before becoming a full-time writer. She has published in multiple genres, including food history, children's literature, true crime, and mystery. "The First Murder", her first novel, was published in 2024. She received a B.A. in Psychology from Kirkland College, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Colorado State University.
