Clue: the Movie In-Person

Clue is a 1985 American dark comedy mystery movie. It is based on the classic board game Clue. It was written and directed by Jonathan Lynn, who co-wrote the story with John Landis, and produced by Debra Hill. It stars the ensemble cast of Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren, with Colleen Camp and Lee Ving in supporting roles. In 1954, six strangers are invited to a secluded New England mansion for an unusual dinner party. They are greeted by the butler and the maid. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. They race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Forty years after its initial release, this movie has become an enduring cult favorite, full of comedic gems. It is not just a game anymore! Whodunit? 

This movie screening is offered in connection with the performance of the play Clue: On Stage by the Hamden High Mainstage Ensemble at the Hamden High School Auditorium from Friday, Nov. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 9. Ticket information is forthcoming.
