Find Your Voice, Tell Your Story: Memoir Writing Workshop Series with Tom Birmingham In-Person

Experience the transformative power of telling your story by joining us for a free six-week Memoir Writing Workshop series with Tom Birmingham. Whether you want to write for yourself, share with your family, or intend to publish your story for the world, the first step is getting it down on paper and discovering what is important to you. Let's come together in a supportive, safe environment, and begin the process together.  When you sign up, you are committing to a six-week program. Each class in this six-week series meets once a week on Thursday, May 15, May 22, May 29, June 5, and June 12, from 2 to 4 pm. However, the final class will be on Wednesday, June 18, from 2 to 4 pm, because the library is closed on Thursday, June 19 for the Juneteenth Holiday.

Discover the building blocks of experience in your life that tell your story through timed and prompted writing exercises, as well as shared stories. By transcribing your memories you may discover an arc of experience that has brought you to where you are. The essays you transcribe could become the components of a personal narrative.

Registration has closed. (This event has to be booked as part of a series)
