Sustainability Celebration with the Hamden Recycling Coordinator In-Person
Brundage Community Branch Library will be hosting a Sustainability Celebration in honor of Earth Day! The event will be all-ages. There will be a conversation with Hamden's Recycling Coordinator Joe DeRisi. The talk will focus on Hamden's recycling and trash programs and steps to take at home to increase your own environmental sustainability. There will be plenty of time for your burning questions like: How can I get a new trash can? Do I really need to wash that plastic? How can I get the raccoons to clean up after themselves after they make a mess?
The celebration will include crafts for children, activities for younger recyclers, a trash/recycling relay race, and an Earth Day scavenger hunt! All are welcome and encouraged to join us!
