Garden Design in a Time of Climate Change. Presented by Christine Darnell.

Garden Design in a Time of Climate Change. Presented by Christine Darnell. In-Person

Find out how to create gardens that will last and thrive, even in extremes. We need to look at our gardens in a new light; as part of a larger ecosystem, as valued habitats and as tools to promote pro-environmental behavior. Gain new ideas, learn about successful approaches and creative combinations for your garden. Christine Darnell will address the ecological processes that sustain and help to regulate the changing environment. She will discuss making appropriate choices in planting design with regard to water, soil, and migrating pollinators and wildlife. This program is funded by the Friends of the Hamden Library. Seating is limited. Registration is encouraged.
