Coffee Hour - A Conversation with Master Gardeners In-Person
Coffee Hour brings people together to enjoy refreshments, connect socially, and engage in special conversations. Our next Coffee Hour features a conversation with Master Gardeners Diane Dynia and Wes Meeker. Join us to learn and chat about pollination, composting, and gardening in Connecticut.
Diane Dynia’s vision lead the establishment of a rain garden and rain barrel at Hamden’s Brundage Branch. She is a 2022 graduate of the Master Gardener Program and has continued course work in native plant gardening, landscaping for pollinators and birds, and water collection and conservation. Currently, she volunteers for the Hamden Library Seed Library while finishing the volunteer requirements for UCONN’s Master Composter Program.
Wes Meeker is a 2022 graduate of the UCONN Master Gardener program and an anticipated graduate of the UCONN Master Composter program. When he’s not working on his vegetable garden or making compost, Wes is a facilities manager for a local university where he is working on his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership by researching learning gardens in K-12 and higher education schools.
Coffee Hour serves as a gathering point for conversations that may be with a local author, feature information about special topics of interest, or teach a new skill. And, yes, coffee and snacks are served!
