A Year in Kimono: a History and Demonstration. Presented by Robyn Mortiboys In-Person

Join us on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm in Thornton Wilder Hall for a fascinating talk on the history of the Kimono, the Japanese traditional robe which is instantly recognizable around the world. Robyn Mortiboys, our presenter, will show vintage kimonos and explain the formality of the different types for a variety of occasions. Volunteers from the audience will be asked to try the garments on for a dressing demonstration. This in-person event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Registration is required. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Hamden Library.
