Local Author Shares How Food Brings Families Together In-Person
Join us on Monday, February 27th at 5:00 p.m. for local author, Caela Collins! The presentation includes a reading from her book and discussion about how cooking can strengthen family connections. Participants are welcome to share their own family cooking recipes & stories.
Published in 2020, Food Is Love, is the story of a young girl who treasures the memories and adventures she shared with her beloved grandmother. These connections are deepened by the moments they spend cooking together in the kitchen while sharing family recipes & stories.
Caela Collins loves the wonder and awe that storytelling brings. As an independent children’s book author, her goal is to inspire young minds from all backgrounds by using her imaginative writing skills and conceptual artistic direction to highlight protagonists of color. Ms. Collins believes that stories have the power to mold minds and creatively help foster better people, for a better tomorrow.
